Boxer Walk Checklist

Being a new boxer owner is similar to taking on the parenting role of a newborn. With time, you learn what you need to simplify your care on outings. To fast-forward your learning curve, we have created a checklist of items for your boxer as well as yourself � before you head to the boxergie park.

The role of Toto, the male dog in the Wizard of Oz was actually played by a female Cairn Terrier named Terry. Cairn terriers are known for their brightness and cuteness. That, combined with their small size, made the breed perfect for the role.


For fast cleanups, bring towels or handiwipes to tidy up your boxer�s dirty paws. As an alternate, place covers on your car seats to prevent the spread of dirt.

To ensure your safety and ability to keep up with your boxer, wear shoes or fitness shoes to maintain your balance during bad weather conditions, harsh terrain, or a rigorous canine. (Try to keep a spare pair of gloves in your car as a back up incase your shoes are too wet or muddy to wear)

Do not bring your boxer�s favorite toys to the park since it most likely will be lost to another boxer.



The Schipperke, or "little captain", is generally thought of as being solid black in the USA. However, they do actually come in other colors. The reason they are commonly thought to only be black, is that the black variety is the only type currently recognized by the AKC.


Make note of any potential dangers your boxer may encounter with plastic bags so you can prevent any harm.



The Lowchen, a small, somewhat rare breed of dog, is native to France. It's called "petit chien lion" or, "little lion dog". This is due to its fur growth, as it resembles the mane of a lion.
