Popular types of Boxer Toys

Taking care of your boxer means more than feeding and grooming it. It means playing with your boxer too. Boxers love to be entertained and can provide hours of fun for both adults and children. However, many boxers are left alone while busy owners go off to work each day and children are away at school. Ensuring that your boxer doesn't get bored and start eating your furniture and plants is another aspect of boxergie ownership that many people neglect.

Male Irish wolfhounds are usually at least 32 to 34 inches tall and females are usually around 30 inches tall. This makes the Irish wolfhound the tallest breed. Although a few other dogs, such as the great dane, come close to equalling that height.

Dogs, especially puppies, love to chew. They'll chew anything in their path, from entire bushes to that pair of shoes you left outside the back door. For puppies, chewing relieves the pain of teething, while for others, they just like to gnaw on anything hard, including branches, sticks and, believe it or not, tools left lying around. To keep puppies and adult boxers from damaging your property, make sure they have plenty of chew toys. These toys come in leather, plastic, and cloth and come in a variety of sizes and shapes.

Inbreeding causes about 3 out of every 10 dalmations suffer from some sort of hearing loss. The good news is that, like deaf people, they can easily be taught to recognize words in sign language and still make excellent companions.

Chews also aid in dental care for both puppies and adults and provide hours of entertainment and satisfaction. So do balls, ropes and yes, even human toys. Boxers love to fetch and jump, and owners would be well off purchasing a selection of Frisbees and balls to play with their boxers. Boxers also seem to like toys that make noises, so squeaky toys should be on your shopping list. No matter what kind of toys you purchase for your boxer, or whatever your boxer manages to find lying around to mangle, make sure that you remove damaged toys that may break into small pieces and become lodged in your boxer's throat.

Paul McCartney, of Beatles fame, was very fond of his shetland sheepdog. In fact, at the end of the song "A Day in the Life" Mr. McCartney inserted an ultrasonic whistle, audible only to dogs, for his shetland sheepdog.

Remember, you're not the only one who gets bored on occasion. Quality of life is as important for your boxer as it is for you. If your boxer is left alone all day, it's your responsibility to take the time to play with him when you get home, to make sure your boxer is getting an adequate amount of exercise and has interaction with his best friend. You.

The official name of the dogs we call pitbulls is the American staffordshire terrier. Pitbulls have been the preferred pet of many famous people including Fred Astaire, Vin Diesel, Alicia Silverstone, Michael J. Fox, and James Caan.

Pekingese dogs are quite small. This worked out well for their ancient masters, who were ancient Chinese royalty. These royal masters used to carry the peke dogs along in the sleeves of their royal robes.
